Discover Manor Park University – An Enriching Friday Afternoon Curriculum!

We’re thrilled to introduce our unique enrichment program, Manor Park University! Every Friday afternoon, our students have the exciting opportunity to choose from a wide variety of inspiring and challenging courses designed to broaden their horizons and foster personal growth. This program allows children to explore new interests, work with peers from other year groups, and develop essential social skills.

Diverse Course Selection Across Four Inspiring Faculties

Each term, children select a Manor Park University course to attend every Friday, choosing from over 30 diverse options, across four faculties linked to our school houses: Athletes, Artists, Change Makers, and Engineers. These faculties reflect our commitment to nurturing every child’s potential, encouraging them to embrace challenges, and helping them soar to success.

Our courses are designed to extend beyond traditional learning, bringing our curriculum to life through hands-on, imaginative, and innovative experiences. Options span real-world, hands-on experiences and practical, skill-based learning. Courses are led by both our own dedicated staff and outside experts, ensuring high-quality, engaging learning experiences across various disciplines.

Something for Every Interest and Passion

Children can choose from a wide range of subjects, including sports such as hockey and taekwondo, arts like theatre, dance, and pottery, and hands-on skills in our forest school. There are also courses in music, robotics, and much more. In line with the National Curriculum, all pupils will participate in the swimming course (during Year 3), ensuring that pupils can competently and confidently swim at least 25 metres. A further compulsory course is our bicycle ability training course, which takes place in Year 6 and gives pupils the understanding and expertise they need to ride their bikes on the road.

Students may focus on one area of interest or explore different faculties to build a broad skill set. As they progress through their years at Manor Park, they can celebrate their achievements with a special graduation ceremony at the end of Year 6, marking their successes alongside friends and teachers.
