At Manor Park, we believe that oracy is a vital part of every child’s education. As a Voice 21 school, we are committed to giving every pupil the opportunity to develop the speaking and listening skills they need to thrive both in the classroom and beyond.
Through carefully planned teaching and learning, children learn to express themselves with confidence, listen respectfully to others, and engage in meaningful discussions. Oracy underpins learning across the curriculum – helping pupils to deepen their understanding, think critically, and communicate effectively.
We create a culture where every voice is valued, and children are supported to become articulate, thoughtful and respectful speakers. From classroom talk and debate to performances, presentations and assemblies, oracy is woven into daily school life.
Our aim is for every child to leave Manor Park not only with the knowledge and skills they need academically, but also with the confidence to use their voice to share ideas, question the world around them, and make a positive contribution to society.
